Hit For Six! is the story of a playboy West Indies cricketer who is still fighting the demons of his past, which includes a match-fixing charge. He learns about love as he struggles for his last chance to play in a major global tournament. And he desperately wants to earn the respect of his estranged father, a former great West Indies cricketer. This inspirational and emotional drama, punctuated with excitement, intrigue and love, recounts how Alex Nelson, a talented but inconsistent cricketer, has been sidelined from the West Indies team for scuffling with his coach, Amir Misra of India. Blackballed by the team for three years, he pursues an unlikely quest to get back on the team for a last chance to play in the Global One Day Series — an opportunity unfairly denied to his father.

Storytellers is a television music series produced by the VH1 network. In each episode artists perform in front of a (mostly small and intimate) live audience, and tell stories about their music, writing experiences and memories, somewhat similar to MTV Unplugged. The show started in 1996 with a broadcast of Ray Davies, during his "Storyteller" tour, and took its name from this first show.

VH1 Divas: An Honors Concert For The VH1 Save The Music Foundation aired live from the MGM Grand Las Vegas on April 18, 2004. The show marks the first appearance of close friends and R&B and soul legends Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight after they had turned down previous offers to appear.

The queen of soul, Aretha Franklin, and four of the biggest female hitmakers in contemporary pop, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan, and Shania Twain, join forces for this once-in-a-lifetime concert event where they sing their hits and team up for a variety of ensemble performances. The VH1 Rock Honors were an annual ceremony paying homage to bands who influenced the sound of rock music. The events began in 2006, and the final event took place in 2008. The general format of each show is for modern bands to "pay tribute" to classic greats of the rock/metal world, after which time the artist being paid tribute to plays multiple songs. The 2006 and 2007 shows featured four inductees each, whereas the 2008 show featured one, albeit with multiple bands paying tribute. The shows were directed by David Mallet and produced by Paul Flattery. Currently, VH1 has no plans for a CD or DVD release of any show.

In 1996, VH1 organized a benefit concert for Witness with Human Rights First. Robin Williams filmed a moving message for the concert on the power of individuals and video to document and impact important human rights issues. The global activist organization Witness provides video cameras to human rights groups to document abuses, so it was fitting that rocker Rod Stewart launched Sunday's 'VH1 Honors' tertainment world, with performances by Witness co-founder Peter Gabriel, Bryan Adams, Don Henley, R.E.M. lead singer Michael Stipe (also a Witness co-founder), Natalie Merchant, Gloria Estefan and Pete Townshend. VH1 Divas 2012 aired live on December 16, 2012 from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The show was hosted by Adam Lambert and celebrated the dance-inducing music that is the vibrant soundtrack to every major blowout bash, unforgettable party and night out on the town. The show also paid tribute to the late music legends who died earlier that year: Whitney Houston and Donna Summer.
